Advice please! Covid Recovery Certificates for teenagers
Bunn56 · 06/03/2022 21:46
Has anyone managed to get covid recovery certificates for teenagers? If so, where from please? (We’re also in Scotland if that makes a difference).
Our Xmas hols to Tenerife got canx because my 2*DS only had their 1st vaccines on 1st Dec (the school vaccination teams actually didn’t go into our schools until 16th Dec they were so behind). We rebooked for late March, with the plan to get the 2nd vaccine done in plenty of time - except they just got covid. So no 2nd jab allowed for 3mths and there’s a risk they will fail the PCR test for the fit to fly.
Either way the cheapest tests I can find will be £160 for two recovery certificates, or £110 for two PCR tests. Just not sure where to put my money and it would be really helpful to know from anyone who has travelled with teenagers over the half term hols, what worked for them. (We’ve got the paperwork from the NHS helpline to prove they’ve had one jab already), but the NHS email to confirm they’ve just had covid doesn’t look very official at all.
I really don’t want to canx again as we work in Scottish tourism and this will be the only family holiday we actually get before our own season kicks off again. Thanks.
