Holidays
Fly to South of France beginning of June or alternative

Hi all
Trying to find a holiday for May half term beginning of June. Found some lovely South of France places on yelloh and eurocamps but the nearest airport is beziers for which there is only one available flight which is expensive. Is there anywhere else similar camp style places near a more main airport. We don't want to hire a car but need to go south to guarantee some sun. Any help greatly appreciated. Have been looking at Spain and Italy and Croatia but trying to match the flights to the area is so difficult

What about the Venetian riviera? Flights to Treviso or Venice and a taxi? Eurocamp / Canvas have some excellent parks right on the beach. We stayed at Union Lido for a week in June and never left the park as there was so much to do. Ca Savio has also been highly recommended.

Thanks for your reply. Did you fly? Quite like the look of Italy and so does hubby.

Yes - we flew to Treviso and pre-booked a transfer each way. Venice airport is nearer though. I guess you weigh up the flight cost etc. Or you can get the bus from either to Lido de Jesolo and then another to Cavallino. It's worth checking the campsite websites vs Eurocamp for accommodation, especially if not going in peak season. www.unionlido.com/en/collection/ Union Lido, for example, is huge with loads of pools, shops and lots of different restaurants, bars and takeaways. We were sure we would go to Venice but never quite got round to it. Easily doable by bus then boat though.

Eurostar to Avignon, then a 2 hour journey on to Beziers.

Eurostar aren't selling direct trains to Avignon at the moment.

You can fly into Carcassonne, perpignan, Montpellier or Toulouse airports and then drive or bus to where you're going? I live in that area.
