We are looking a travelling over to see family in Thailand and Singapore around Christmas. Has anyone got any tips of routes. I'd preplanned this in a couple of years ago but covid, health meant we had to cancel.

Do any experienced travellers have any ideas of how this could work.

Fly out from UK London probably into Bangkok, couple of nights in Bangkok and then short flight into Laos to see family.

Last trip we had Krabi, Siam Reap and Kuala Lumpur booked to mix beach and city.

We need to end in singapore to see more family then return back to london or wherever.

We probably will try for 3 weeks or just under but with Christmas etc also travelling with two children 10 and 12.

Our last plan hadn't involved Laos and was return to Singapore, with some internal flights and bus.

Looking into it, it looks a bit of a logistical nightmare, and how to make it not to over loading, packing and travelling etc. We are light travellers, so not dragging loads with us.

Any ideas, or just give up ha ha

I have been to Laos a couple of times, once from China and once from Hanoi and then on to Bangkok. We flew with Bangkok airlines to Thailand. I am not a massive fan of KL so would perhaps do
Bangkok, Laos, Hanoi/HCMC and if you want some beach time add on Phuo Quoc then Singapore. Hanoi can be a bit chilly in December compared to HCMC.
Alternatively, spend more time in Cambodia and include Phnom Penh. You can hire a car and driver from SR to PP, takes about 4 or 5 hours and not expensive. If you want some beach time there is Sihanoukville, but have had mixed reports. Lots of Chinese investment, casinos etc but some beaches may be quieter.
