hiring a car in majorca - which company? car seats seem to make it soo expensive...

never done this before but think we're going to have a go at booking everything seperately.

We're going to Puerto Pollensa with 4yr old and 1yr old and the coach transfers are soooo long we just fancied jumping in a car and getting to the resort asap.

Just been looking at car hire and it's much more expensive than I thought, i think it's cos I was a 4door with baby seat and child/booster seat.

Any suggestions please as to which company to use?

We've used the same company for the last 2 years, not too expensive and proper child seats and boosters. I've got the name of the company on my work computer, I can't remember it off the top of my head, I just remember the logo was yellow and purple They have a pick up point outside Palma airport and it's 5 minutes to thier shop. I've emailed myself so when I get to work I'll look it up and come back on here with the name.

Is carjet the yellow and purple one?

We have used them (or one of their clones) at Malaga and they were OK.

(A 5-door Ford Fusion with A?C is only £99 a week high season - 2 euros per day per seat extra for car seats, about another £20)

It was Hiper we used, can't remeber the final cost but it was quite cheap.

Think we used Avis but can't say the car seats were any thing to write home about (dd threw up on hers on return journey to airport). Puerto Pollensa can't be much more than an hour away though. Alternatively have you looked into a taxi transfer - we used these iirc and prebooked a car seat. Would be 80 euro each way.
