An upmarket toddler friendly holiday, with Easyjet Holidays!?
Okeydoky · 03/03/2022 07:58
I've never been one for package holidays, and pre-child I was all about the boutique hotels and poking around interesting places, eating the local food, well away from touristy resorts.
Anyway, long story short, due to a wedding we were going to attend being cancelled thanks to covid, I have a sizeable Easyjet voucher that is going to expire soon, but I just can't work out where to go.
We need somewhere vaguely suitable for a toddler, no more than say 3.5 hours flight away, which will have good weather in September. I would love good food and an interesting town to explore. A nice beach would be a plus, but not at the expense of food and a bit of character in the area.
I feel like I've spent days of my life scrolling through hotels, but I don't know the areas any of them are in as I've mostly gone long haul in the past.
Does anyone have any recommendations for places to look at, or even better specific hotels please?
Thank you!

Do want to do it as a package or just flights and choose hotel? Algarve?
South of France? Italy? Sardinia is a very good bet. Nothing too high rise - beautiful beaches, lovely food.

Palma de Mallorca? Both nice city and beach with interesting day trips.

What about Palma, capital of Mallorca?
<a class="break-all" href="https://www.abc-mallorca.com/hotels-palma/www.abc-mallorca.com/hotels-palma/" rel="nofollow noindex" target="_blank"> some lovely hotels here
Forget any stereotypical images of Majorca being downmarket and touristy! It's a beautiful island, and the capital is really interesting.

I was going to suggest Majorca too ⬆️. Lovely and friendly for toddlers. Not too far away and there’s lots to explore in the capital city Palma.

If you want to stay closer, fly to Lisbon and stay in Cascais - very posh resort, 20 minutes outside Lisbon. Loads to explore, lots of boutique hotels, toddler friendly (I went when 6 months pregnant with DC2 - DC1 was 2 1/2). September is warm but not too hot. Also returned when DC2 was a baby as it was so easy to manage the DC there.
There is now a Martinhal resort there, and they have another one in Sagres, on the Western Algarve, again toddler friendly, boutique hotel and villas.

What about Crete, lots to explore, child friendly and great food. There’s a range of resorts but Some of the ones in Elounda look great and probably meet what you’re after.

I haven’t stayed, but if I was in your position I’d consider Domes of Elounda
