Proof of vaccine status 12-15 year olds

How do I obtain proof of vaccine status for travel for 12 - 15 year old dc? Dc will be double jabbed next week and we want to go to Spain at Easter.

Can they have an app?

Thanks

Yes the app now works for that age for travel.

Thank you. Do they have to get their own app? Dc's profile is currently on my app but the jab information isn't on there?

Do I need to contact my GP surgery to activate this?

Just did some Googling and from what I gather they can download the NHS app onto their phones. Phew!

Yes - it’s easy to download but they do have to go through a validation process to ID them. Then they’ll be able to download a QR code showing their vaccinations.

Yes they can have the app on their phones. Can be a bit tricky getting the app to validate their identity though. Works best in daylight making sure there's no shadows in their face.

Thanks for these tips.

I have the problem that DD is fully jabbed but only 12 and therefore cannot get the app. FFS.

My DD is only 12, fully jabbed and recovered and has the app showing all her vaccinations and a covid recovery pass. Why can't your DD get the app?
Watapalava · 02/03/2022 18:20

Rainbow in England the nhs covid app is only for 13+

You can access 12 yo records through NHS digital via a laptop/tablet.

www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/get-digital-covid-pass/

App on phone is 13+ as PP said.

goldensilver · 04/03/2022 20:28

Do they need it? I thought Spain did a U turn on 12+ and they now don't need to be vaxxed?

Watapalava · 04/03/2022 20:52

Golden

They don’t need vax for Spain but do need test

With covid freely transmitting it means stressful days ahead of holiday

Ah ok.

Think they can also present recovery cert now if they've had covid in the previous 6 months.

Watapalava · 04/03/2022 21:13

At end of March no one will be able to get a recovery Cert as no one can get a pcr so many earlier ones will run out
