Early April Egypt or canaries....

We have a chance of a weeks holiday without kids first week of April

So... sharm area in Egypt. Luxury hotel, beaches, scuba diving, weather. But maybe not as easy to wander round towns, sight see, possibly more risky given recent world events....

Or canaries. More European, perhaps too brits abroad, weather less secure. But more carefree and relaxing?

Thoughts or anything I have missed with pros and cons please?

Depends what you want

Egypt for scuba, and for guaranteed and more intense heat.

Canaries for more of a breeze, nice walks (if you pick the right island - have a Google some of them more nature-y). Weather in April is variable - can be very warm, but you can get some cooler blowy days.

Peurto del carmen in lanzarote has loads of divers. I know nothing about diving but cant believe there would be that many if it wasnt any good.
