Vilamoura - this weekend

My family and I are flying to Faro tomorrow to spend a long weekend in Vilamoura. We won't have a car but would like to go to Alburfeira old town. Does anyone know how much a taxi would cost? I've looked at the buses but they don't seem to be that regular.

Also, any must see/do's in both Vilamoura and Albufeira? Restaurant recommendations? Kids are 14,12 and 7

The weather looks OK, just a few scattered showers so hopefully we can be out and about. This will be our 6th attempt at a holiday in the last two years (thanks Covid!) so I'm just happy to be getting away tbh!

We got an Uber and it was about 25 euros each way. What kind of food do you want in the Old Town, I know it well

O Manjar is really good, massive portions, good steaks and very reasonable. Urban Pizza is good to with teenagers not just pizza all sorts of food. Il Brigante is also lovely for Italian and more

Il Brigante is not so good my DH reminded me. Bistro is lovely though

Stews & More in Albufeira was very nice and Pastelaria Riviera was a good bakery. Caveat it’s a few years since we’ve been so someone will have more recent recommendations. Enjoy!
