I've been before, but the last time I was pregnant, it was August and I limited myself to the Prado, Guernica and the open top bus tour. Didn't do much nightlife. We're staying on the Grand Via so shops should not be an issue. Want to find best scenic spots for tapas, aperols and people watching. Don't mind a walking tour/food tour. I like an art gallery or art deco building to visit but the others aren't so bothered. Food markets are normally a big hit. And nice places for brunch/interesting restaurants for the evening. Going in June so I imagine it will be decent terrace weather.

Radio rooftop bar - had so much fun there with my friends celebrating our birthdays. Amazing cocktails! We also did a great cycle tour (they have electric bikes for the hills but not really necessary).

There's a wonderful indoor food market that you can drift around buying glasses of cava and tapas nibbles, friend and I had the best time there , think it is the Mercado de San Miguel.

They both sound marvellous. Cocktails, cava and tapas is exactly the thing. Thank you!

Self guided transportation best avoided - did I mention the Aperols :) My friend nearly took out a shop front with a segway in Valetta.....

Following for tips. I go every year but wonder around feeling lost every time. I love being lost in Madrid though!

if any of you are teachers you can get into everywhere free. Also the last hour or so of the museums are free.

I really like the temple of debod.

We had a wonderful time there at a hen; be aware of bag snatchers though. Beautiful city.
