Big family sunny holiday help!

Budget 3k ish. A fortnight in August. TUI and such search sites come up with some nice looking options in Greece, Turkey or Bulgaria but then in the detail, it is two studio apartments or two separate hotel rooms! We can't let a 10 and 7yo sleep apart from us, we also have a 4yo. How do you find hotels / package hols with adjoining rooms or family rooms? All the big websites shout on their homepage show family friendly they are and even mention family rooms and adjoining rooms, but then there's no way to specific or filter that. Even though in the search fields they ask for the ages of the kids.

Help!

We’re a family of 5 (15,11,9) and we’ve had to go for two rooms this year. I’m not that bothered really. We can split me and the 15 & 9 and then DP and the 11. Actually makes for a calmer week when we can split some of the kids personalities. And I don’t have to listen to DP snore!

We struggled to find a week with a similar budget as yours, although I refuse to fly from anywhere other than Gatwick so that didn’t help much. It’s a 40 minute drive away!

We’re going to Agadir and that was fairly reasonable through EasyJet holidays. You could search easier for rooms there.

We’re also a family of 5.

This year - because of covid and having no ‘big’ holidays for two years, we’re going for two interconnected hotel rooms but obviously that’s not cheap. And our children are teens so can be trusted in an adjoining room.

Apartments or aparthotels are the way to go with smaller children. Put your details into somewhere like booking.com or Expedia as I’ve found many of them don’t come up on package company sites.

Places we’ve stayed include Sol de Alcudia in Majorca and Parque Santiago IV in Tenerife. Good luck!

Have you considered a villa?

Or one adult with some kids and one with the others?

I stayed at Mitsis Laguna hotel in Crete last year and they had done good family sized accommodation. You could check them out it other Mitsis hotels.
Magic Life are also good.

We've got two weeks in a holiday village in Ibiza in august. Dividing room. £5k though.
