Need a New Sky+ Box - am good customer and think what they want to charge a rip off!

Any tips on getting them to cut the cost or give me one - we pay £70 a month so I think them chaging me for a new one that costs them next to nothing is a liberty - do I threaten to cancel - would they just say ok and cut me dead or would they try and barter?

The box we have is losing memory capacity as it is nearly 3 years old!

Any tips on how to go about getting them to be nice and give me one or cut the cost gladly received.

Don't have sky but i've heard so many people threaten to cancel or lowere their package and sky has reduced costs or upgraded free! Give it a try i say!

where are you? have just upgraded to sky hd so my sky plus box is sitting unused just waiting to be chucked. we've had it for about 2.5 years but to best of my knowledge it's still working fine.

Threaten to cancel, that should do the job. Otherwise ebay is the place to pick up a bargain.

Tell them you're seriously considering cancelling (but mean it), they'll soon roll over to keep you.
