Stopover from Calais to dordogne

We are travelling to dordogne from Calais this august and are looking for somewhere to stop to break the journey. We would like to break the back of the journey and stop with around 2-2.5 hours left to go. We are looking for a hotel or campsite with a pool so we can have some fun before resuming our journey the next morning! Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Something around the Loire Valley? Lots of lovely places to visit there.

If you look at the Accor Hotels website, you can choose hotels on your route. Many Novotel/Ibis Styles etc have pools and family rooms.

We've stayed in a Novotel with a pool in Amboise (very pretty town - lovely for a wander around)

and an airbnb with a pool just to the West of Tours.

We've also stayed at a campsite Les Alicourts in the Loire Valley - but we stayed there a few nights - I think there might be a min. no. of nights you have to stay
