Hi,

Do we just need to fill out passenger locator form before we return to the uk from holiday or do we need to fill one out before we go too?

I thought it was both but i can only see 48 before your return?

You complete the form before returning to UK. You complete a seperate form online before travelling to the country you are going to.
Each country has its own equivalent

Well, going somewhere else you'll have to look at that country's rules first of all, to see what paperwork is required? The UK won't give you that information, it's your responsibility to look it up. Don't trust the gov.uk foreign travel advice 100% as sometimes it can take a couple of days to be up-to-date.

Coming back into the UK - yes, you need to complete a PLF up to 48 hours before departure.
