Holidays
Paris/Disney for half term
ByMyName · 09/02/2022 17:37
I have a Eurostar voucher from 2020 that needs using. DC and I will be spending 4 days/3 nights in Paris. We have a nice schedule planned: Eiffel Tower, museums, boat tours etc.
We have nothing planned for Day 3 of our trip. We can easily get to Disney. DH thinks it will be a waste of time as it’s also the French holidays. So it will be packed and we won’t get to do many rides.
What do you think?

Oooh we want to do a flipped version of this. 3 days in disney and 2 in paris! I think 1 day in holiday time will be frustrating as it wont be enough to get on enough things (we're taking out of school !)

Id love to see your paris schedule 😁. Im thinking eiffel tower, an art gallery and the boat tour and crepes!

@OutlookStalking
We’ve done Disney Florida many many times and Paris 2 times. But we’ve always done outside school holidays before. This will be the first time for us during the actual holidays… it won’t be enough for many rides but conservatively we should be able to do 4-5. Maybe we’ll only keep it to one of the 2 parks too.

I’ll post tonight.
DC is a massive Van Gogh fan. So our schedule may be a little art biased as he wants to do both musee d’orsay and Louvre.

I think if you've all done it before it could be fun as you'd get the atmosphere and a few rides. We don't cope with queues brilliantly so wouldn't manage it. If you've been before though it could be frustrating as you won't do much and it could be a chance to do more in Paris? How old are the kids and what would they enjoy?

(My smilie was supposed to be a happy face and it looks like a grimace!)
RussianSpy101 · 09/02/2022 17:47
I’m not doing Disney this year as you have to wear a mask round the park apparently.
It won’t be too bad in the school hols if you’ve been before .
OutlookStalking · 09/02/2022 17:48
Maybe wrong thread but its the 2 we want to visit again too! Our kids were v young when they last visited so looking forwards to going back. (I need to find your other thread!)

I've done DLP in the summer holidays and it wasn't too bad. Queues are not as crazy as some UK theme parks, and you can also use fast passes on some of them.
You can download the app as well which lets you know how long the queues are for rides.
OutlookStalking · 09/02/2022 17:54
The fast passes have finished! I think there's a paid for option now...

We went once 2 days during the week and one day weekend. The Saturday was bloody mental. Full of local kids and the queues were horrific
