Haven Holiday. Stay or Stay and Play

I have been looking to book a holiday for the summer holidays. This will be our first family holiday, I have a 3,1 and 11 year old. I have been looking at Thorpe Park Haven holiday as I really want a beach location but this also comes up as one of the cheapest as we are very much on a budget. When looking to book there seems to be a £250 difference between the stay and the stay and play. I am just wondering if anyone would have advice, is the stay and play worth it? If we don't purchase it can we still use the activities like the swimming pool but pay for it? If so does anyone have a list of how much these things cost? Thankyou for any help.

Hi op these are great holidays for little ones. My understanding is that you won't be able to access the pool or evening/daytime entertainment. Very worth paying for IMO. My DC are too old now and I do miss these holidays. The innocence. Enjoy your lovely break

Thankyou so much for the advice, I didn't want to go and then not be able to access if I didn't purchase. Thanks again, very much looking forward to a holiday!

You're better off buying the passes and paying for them before you go. It takes a lot of pressure off when you're there finding money for the activities, or not being allowed into the clubhouse.

Agree for small ones the activities are the main reason to go imo Smile

I have a wonderful memory of going on a Haven holiday with my Mum, brother and sister when we were in our teens. We got bed and breakfast but didn't do the stay and play activities, it was autumn/winter time anyway. I would go on one of these holidays in a heart beat, mine are younger than yours though 3, 4 and baby on the way Grin but even with an eleven year old I'd get the passes. Enjoy your holiday

We have Haven booked. Stay and play. Pool is amazing.. We don't do evening entertainment though.

Thanks everyone, definitely stay and play then! Hopefully we can make some magical memories (or at least tire them out and make them sleep longer).

Yes buy the passes. Otherwise you can’t use any of the facilities. You can also book activities before you go so make sure you do that or you’ll not get anything. (Assuming they’re keeping the booking as it was previously)
