My dd is 8.5 months old, how strict are they on the photo requirements and also anyone know how long they are taking to do a 1st passport for a child? They took 3 months to do my renewal and lost my old passport in their office as well!

We did our DDs first passport last September and it took around 8 weeks.we did our own photo with baby propped up against a white white but it says on their website baby doesn’t even need their eyes open if they are between a certain age. If you do it online it will accept or reject it there and then so you’ll know.

I was thinking of lying her on a white sheet. I really should've done it when she was smaller but I waited so long on mine she got older and now rolls/crawls etc lol.

But thanks!

Both my children had the photo taken whilst laying down, so much easier!

Yeah lying on a white sheet is easiest!
