Best Holidays with toddlers

So as the title says .. what's the best holiday locations with small children?

Looking for both inspiration for this summer in Europe and for Xmas next year (long haul, somewhere warm).

Looking for locations that are safe and easy to move around with a stroller (no Santorini due to the stairs for example), nice sandy beaches, good food.

Places I have in mind for next Christmas: Maldives ( but v expensive with 2 kids), Egypt - never been but seems nice, Cancun - looks good, potential safety issues and maybe too Americanized .

Oh, and this is maybe not as important as rules change all the time - but nowhere where masks are required for toddlers/small children.

I have been to Egypt but without kids. Wasn't much of a fan. I love the Dominican Republic. Lots of lovely hotels there.

Thailand is great with small children. We took DS when he was 18m old.

Hi, where have you been & why didn't you like it? We've been to DR as well without the kids & loved the resort - would consider going with children as well .

Where in Thailand please ?

I saw they have a mask requirement for children over 2 which is why I'm hesitant 😬

I stuck to Europe until my DC started school as I had a really good sleep routine and worried about messing it up due to the time difference. Tenerife is very good as there are many promenades so it lovely to take a stroll before dinner etc.

Not possible at the moment but we love Bali with kids, there are agencies where you can hire a nanny for a very reasonable price to supervise little ones one to one in kids clubs they would otherwise be too young to go in. We love the sofitel nusa dua and como canggu. Have actually managed to relax there! This year we are going to Sani resort in Greece. We travelled loads in Asia with our eldest between 0 and 2 but very rarely used the pram, always had her in the sling as places like that the pavements were rarely practical with wheels. Thailand - fishermans village on Koh Samui is great or lots of lovely places in the Krabi region. Railay beach is amazing.

Sardinia. Lovely beaches and great food.

We had the best holiday ever with our children in Copenhagen when they were 3 and 1. We stayed in a self-catered flat and rented bikes with child seats - it's a lovely city to cycle in and you can get all over quickly and easily without having to bother with public transport timetables and routes. The bike traffic is not overwhelming like it can be in Amsterdam.

We took them to the zoo (they have little carts to pull your children round in), the science museum, the Tivoli, and just walked around with our pushchair stopping at playgrounds or cafés and enjoying the sights. It was brilliant. We parents have such good memories of it and my eldest still talks about the bubbles in the science museum almost 4 years later! Most child friendly city I've ever been in.

Oh I did not read the OP properly . Obviously Copenhagen is not long haul or a beach destination or particularly hot (though it was nice and warm when we were there). Sorry :/

For long haul look at Aquana beach resort in Vanuatu. Rather than a kids club they have Nannies who will look after/play with your kids on-site or the resort send them with you if you are doing day trips. It’s all villas so plenty of space and the beaches are stunning.

Thanks puffin, I live here so I'm here everyday . But yes, not particularity hot !

Ok, we're now looking at Greece for the summer. Any particular islands you recommend? ☀️
