I'm thinking of going to to one of the Greek Neilson resorts with dd (14). It's double the price of our usual holiday, but it looks like it might actually be a 'proper' holiday for me without loads of planning ! I love watersports and DD is active and sociable and in the past has refused lazy beach holidays so we have always done cities . She's v keen on this though so I'd get some r&r by the pool at last as well as activities .

I was just pondering, if she ends up making friends and heads off with them a lot of the week - will I stick out like a sore thumb hanging around on my own? I don't think she will abandon me completely as we get on v well, and I'm quite self sufficient anyway but was just wondering how this might feel if she really makes amazing friends and wants to hangout with them a lot of the time (which of course would be fine and so good for her !). I think I'd be happy reading and chilling and I want to swim and do yoga (which dd wouldn't do) so plenty to fill my time Grin.

Is this a good hol for a lone parent with a teen?
