Legoland tips

If you've been to Legoland in Billund, can you share your best tips? We're thinking about going this summer with kids who will be just 7 and almost 5.

How many days is too much, too little? Where is best to stay (we were thinking about the holiday village?)? Things like that.

Thank you in advance!

Can I bump this for you, OP? Also think about the same later this year, considering Lalandia to stay...

We did this a few years ago.

Stayed in Lalandia as PP mentioned, think we had a 2-day Legoland ticket and stayed 4-5 nights in all, as also had a day at the Lego House and a day or two hanging around Lalandia (which is like Center Parcs basically).

Went at end of August as Danish kids are back at school so quieter. This meant rides were less busy but also less food outlets open (so took a while to queue for lunch in only restaurant that was open).

We then drove up to the coast for a few days before heading back down to Bilund to get a flight home. Was a great trip.

We stayed in the Legoland holiday park(camping but we drove from Germany). They also had cabins etc. The holiday park had a petting zoo, playparks, treasure hunt, lego statues, and go carts to hire. We had the all you can eat breakfast there, and the kids loved the pancake machine...

Actual legoland had the Aquarium and penguins too (it was four years ago we went, so it might have changed now!)

Younger DD was disappointed she wasn't old/big enough for the Driving School, our 7yo was. Definitely check before you go to avoid disappointment. 7yo could get on pretty much every ride I think, but 5yo wasn't big enough for all of them.

We didn't visit Lego House, but I hear its fantastic now.
