Need to buy a car seat for my 4 year old... and just wondered if there was anyone out there who has recently researched what are the best ones or any recommendations

cheers

If you have to travel longer distances then I can hightly recomend a Cybex seat. The headrest tilts back so that the child does not scrunch up in the seat when they fall asleep.

if you do a thread search you should find a thread from a few months back when a very helpful MNetter listed the entire which car seat review.

That said, I looked at the which website (joined for a trial period then cancelled - it cost £1) for my DD1s next car seat. I was looking for one for when she turns four in April next year and the safest was the Britax Evolva 2-3. It is on offer in Mothercare right now £44.

maxi cosi rodi is one of the safest

as is britax evlova 2/3
britax highliner or britax kid
or the concord 'lift' is it

go for one of those and you child will be travelling comfortablly and safely
