Paris where to stay with much cooler 20 yr old DD?

I’m going to be staying in Paris with my almost 20 year old DD for 2 or 3 nights next month.

I’m nearly 50. She’s quite alternative and vegan and generally much cooler than her almost 50 year old mum. No surprises there.

If she goes to London she likes stay in Shoreditch, to give an idea of the kind of places she likes.

Where would be a safe neighbourhood for us to stay in Paris where we can find vegan / vegetarian food in the evenings and go out to a bar that’s not too dressy to have cocktails without going out of the hotel neighbourhood.

We will explore during the day, of course but I want to pick the right neighbourhood to stay in.

Any ideas? I can Google this obviously but wanted to ask for recommendations.

Le Marais is one of the coolest areas of Paris with lots of nice restaurants and bars (not necessarily really upmarket ones). I don't know if they are still operating as we are now in Sydney but YellowStay apartments used to have some really nice places to stay there - more Air b@b style than apart-hotels. I personally love the Latin Quarter but that is more nostalgic as I spent so much time there when I was younger.

I stayed in Le Marais and it was really convenient, and such a great area. Rented an apartment which worked much better than hotel, did it via sweetinn (but was before Covid, seems more expensive now)

Enjoy

If she likes Shoreditch, you're probably best staying in the 10th, around Canal St Martin (so north of the Marais) and/or Bastille. This is hipster central. Perfectly safe, lots of good bars and restaurants, full of young hip people.

(I used to live in Paris).
