...in Scotland or the north of England (but not Blackpool)? Looking to go somewhere family and dog-friendly. Can be self catering, B&B or caravan park.
Is there anywhere you've loved, and similarly, anywhere you wouldn't go again?

Elie in the East Neuk of Fife, very child and dog friendly. Lovely sandy beach. Close to St Andrews and Dundee for days out. Loads of self-catering accommodation (but book quickly, it's very popular).

Bamburgh in Northumberland for the most amazing beach.

Definitely Northumberland- lots of beautiful beaches.

Another vote for Bamburgh. Regarding accommodation, Warren caravan park is brilliant for kids. It’s got a heated splash pool, playground, football pitch, hire of games like Swingball, bbq hut and pub with kids menu.

Ooh thanks, I'll check out the Bamburgh place. Elie looks good also.

Last year we went to Beadnell in Northumberland. Brilliant beach, also lots to do nearby if the weather isn’t great. Going back again this year.
