Planning ahead for a trip in 2023

Family of 4, 2 weeks on the east coast staying with Family so no accommodation costs.

Wondering how much to budget approx for daily expenses. Assume lots of eating out. I realise a lot depends on what activities we get involved with but any feedback from anyone who has done similar?

Eating out is fairly expensive (but huge portions) and varies dramatically of course. Activities tend to cost around double the U.K. I'm loosely budgeting £200 a day for 2 of us but thinking it will go over if we want to do expensive things

I woud probably budget about £300 per day.
