Beach Holiday in Europe in August without really hot weather

Hi,

Can anyone recommend somewhere to go in Europe (not UK) in August for a beach holiday with temperatures at about 25 degrees maximum? We are two adults and two children ages 7 and 4.
We were hoping to go to Lanzarote or Tenerife at Easter but it looks like that won't happen now so I need to find somewhere for August

Based on your ideal requirements, I think a Eurocamp holiday in Normandy or Brittany would be ideal. If you don’t fancy staying caravan or tent, you can often book other types of accommodation direct with the campsite, such as lodges or bungalows.

We found those types of large campsites ideal when the children were small. There was lots to do for children and adults, the sites were generally very nicely kept and there were plenty of other children for ours to make friends with. We particularly enjoyed a site at Houlgate in Normandy and Le Croix de Vieux Pont near Paris (great for a day trip to EuroDisney). Although the latter is obviously not on the beach, it had a man-made ‘beach’ that did the job for us.
