Which park to go to in addition to Magic Kingdom?

We have 3 days/2 nights at Disney World, Florida in April as part of a longer trip to visit family.

Original idea had been just to do the Magic Kingdom, but we think it might be better to do another park on our last day.

What would be best out of Epcot, Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom?

It will be me, DH, two kids aged 5 and 3, plus a set of grandparents in their early 70s.

Epcot. There are at least 7 rides, including Frozen Ever After and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure have no height requirements, while the entertainment and World Showcase aspects of the park generally will appeal more to the grandparents. Character greetings aren’t as big a thing at the other parks as they are at Magic Kingdom, but there are still a few to be found in Epcot. There’s also Harmonious which is the nighttime show at the park.

Epcot. It's my happy place. There's so much to see there

MaisyMary77 · 15/01/2022 16:00

Epcot. So much there for all ages. My families favourite park.

Coronado2 · 15/01/2022 16:07

I was going to say Hollywood studios , but with the ages of the group I'd agree with epcot. I'd consider animal kingdom as well though, particularly if your children will like seeing the animals.

I'd say Epcot also, so much to do/see for all ages. I love wandering round the world showcase.
The new fireworks show is spectacular too!

Epcot did nothing for our son. His favourite was animal kingdom and second was the studios.

Chanel05 · 15/01/2022 16:28

Animal Kingdom. Hands down.

Epcot is fab - Frozen ride, Soarin' - but they may give or take the World Showcase, which is a whole half of Epcot.

Some of the rides at Hollywood Studios are for thrill seekers (fast, dark spaces) and many require long wait times.

Have a wonderful time. There is a reason it's called the happiest place on Earth!

For that age, Epcot. They have several little mermaid related attractions that are fantastic. I believe they also put in something Frozen related, but I haven’t been since that happened.

I’m another Epcot vote given the ages of your children and your parents. I am biased, its my favourite park of all. Children should love Nemo, figment, Rataouille and Frozen. Plenty for the grandparents to enjoy too. Great food options and plenty of space which is usually very welcome after a day in a packed Magic Kingdom

Epcot. Lots of people give it a miss, but it's my favourite park.

KatieKat88 · 15/01/2022 16:53

Go onto YouTube and have a look at some of the rides in each park? I'd say Epcot or Animal Kingdom for those ages - AK is fab and very different to MK.

Lynseylou1 · 15/01/2022 17:04

animal kingdom was my favourite and think would suit your kids better given their ages as more to do for younger ones plus shows like the lion King 🦁

LolaSparkle · 15/01/2022 17:21

It depends if your kids are more in to frozen or animals, my son loves animal kingdom best out of all of the parks but if you're kids aren't fussed about animals they may enjoy frozen ever after and ratatouille better 😁

Sorry to jump on the thread but would Epcot still be your first choice for an 11 and 13 year old too?

rookiemere · 15/01/2022 17:27

I'd go Animal Kingdom, was so great seeing the animals felt like you were on a real safari.
DS 7 really wasn't keen on Epcot and we had to rush past all the different countries which annoyed me.

Animal kingdom has my top 2 rides -flight of passage and Everest but nothing else that keeps me there.

Epcot is nice to wander around, ratatouille os good, frozen is good. Nice food and drinks.

I'd probably go to Hollywood studios with that age, particularly if they like star wars. Star tours is good and normally a short line so you can do it a few times
Galaxy's edge actually converted me into being a start wars fan. Toy story mania and slink dog dash are fun (although I'd not queue hours for slinky dog). I also love tower of terror and rock n roller coaster (if they like roller coasters).

HermioneWeasley · 15/01/2022 18:18

With kids that age I’d probably say animal kingdom

Blossom64265 · 15/01/2022 18:20

For 11 and 13, Hollywood studios if they like Star Wars or skew more towards action and adventure. Animal kingdom if they are more artistic.

Roselilly36 · 15/01/2022 19:09

We found Epcot so dated, it’s nostalgic though. I would probably visit Universal Studios, or a Disney water park, typhoon lagoon?
