Single Vaccinated 12-15: Any Options

Hi there.

Due to catching Covid just before their second jabs were due, my DC will only be single jabbed at half term.

I’ve been dreading this happening.

It seems I’ve got no way of getting any formal proof via the NHS covid app (eg a QR code) of their single jab, or their positive test for Covid, both of which are making travel impossible.

I just don’t undersea understand why 12-15 year olds have been left in the travel no-mans-land…they can’t download the app, can’t get a letter - just stuffed basically.

I’ve called 119 this evening who agreed that there is nothing that can be done for 12-15 year olds and sympathised.

It just seems nuts. Has anyone read anything anywhere that indicates this might change any time soon?

Thanks.

Same here, so frustrating. We can only hope for things to change and perhaps books something last minute.

Did they take a pcr? My niece was in this position and was able to travel to France recently with proof of recovery

We have the same problem with a holiday booked to Spain.

For various reasons DD will only be able to have her 2nd vaccine 12 days before we travel.

Information on the 12-15s is minimal.

The UK have really screwed this up.

We are in the same position, I don’t think we can go.
