Any recommendations?
I am travelling in just over 2 weeks
The country I’m arriving in stipulates that I have to do a test 2 days before.
Any tips?
Thanks

Thanks again. I’ve also joined a Dubai fb visitor page and the rules are very strict.
One flight had 81 travellers turned away at Heathrow for not having the correct test done.
🥺

A relative recommended Testingforall - not for profit. Website looks clear and easy. Results within 5 hours.

I've also used Confirm testing for pre-departure lat flow while overseas and returning to the UK.

@ihatethecold

thanks
Im going to try closer to home first (Cambridge) and if not ill take a trip to stansted

If your in Cambridge, there's a test centre in the grand arcade on the 1st floor - at least it was there when I was last in cambridge. Not sure of the results etc, but there was one there.

Hi We used Concepto Clinic to travel to Dubai recently. Pretty sure they have a site in Cambridge. £89 results in 24 hours. Was no hassle. Email came with the certificate with QR.
Make sure you print that out. BA insisted Dubai would not accept copy on mobile (they actually would have) but we ended up having to mess about getting it printed at the airport before they would let us check in

Thanks. Yes I’ve seen one in the grand arcade online.
I’ll check again but I think there was a reason I dismissed it.
Maybe the turnaround worries me.
Dubai is very strict on the test being done 48 hours before departure.
I’m working all day on the Thursday. So have to do it Thursday eve or Friday morning.

I’m so sorry I think I just hit report instead of reply by mistake!!
We used the 24 hour results one. We flew late Monday night so took the earliest test slot for the Sunday morning it was no problem.
Airport their side is easy. Good luck whatever you decide!

Randox or book online for a test at a Boots store.
I was travelling and testing weekly and found all of the above to offer a good reliable service.

Some people are indeed doing very well off the back of all this bloody testing.

Can you get an appointment first thing on Thursday and then start work afterwards or is this not possible anyway?.

Whatever you decide you need to bring along your passport with you to the testing centre or clinic. Your passport number will also be shown on your RT-PCR certificate.

I am also going to Dubai in a few weeks time and have booked the Collinson rapid PCR test at East Midlands Airport - they have other locations. Results in 3 hours. I fly at 8.40pm on the Wednesday but also need it on an evening due to work. I have booked it for 6.45pm the day before we fly (26 hours before). I used discount code NF20 and got it for £66 each. It's a pain as it's about and hours drive each way for us but it was pretty much the closest I could find for the rapid test. Hope this helps x

We also dropped off ours at the Oncologica lab (it's not actually in Cambridge though it's closer to Saffron Walden). Had results in 24 hours. Results have QR code but think all tests do. Was easy to upload to Verifly.

Anyone got any suggestions for a clinic around the Yorkshire area? We need 48 hour PCR tests to enter Austria and 24 hour tests to enter France a few hours earlier, so ideally we’d like to use the same test results for both, but it does mean we have a really small window to get the tests done!

@Doubleraspberry I've used The Whitehall Clinic in Leeds on one occasion for a PCR test with result back the same day. Not a cheap option though!

It is essential to enact your coronafocus test- both PCR and Lateral Flow Antigen - to accept your outcomes. Unit actuation connects your test swab to your Project Screen account, meaning we can email your outcomes to you.

We attempted to use Randox but they were shite. Their app crashed so no one could verify their tests, they didn’t answer their phones and it was only because another company offered to validate their tests that we didn’t miss our holiday.

Not that anyone checked our tests when we arrived in Italy ( they did in Spain tho)
