What are Grecotel hotels like?

We're thinking about booking a new Grecotel that has no reviews at all as they're only just opening it. The former hotel had awful reviews due to management but the location site itself is apparently lovely so it could be a good gamble.

Just wondering what the Grecotel chain/ brand in general are like? Are they fairly consistent across their hotels and are their standards high? Looking for anything to provide reassurance basically!

@HHoneysuckle9 Thank you we are due to pay a very hefty sum (only deposit paid so far so can still change our minds) for 4 in peak season and we were definitely looking for 5 star. So with everything going on with plane strikes I think your review may help make a tough decision a little easier!

@PrettyLittleCryer Its really not 5 star and I have some experience of good 5 star resorts. It’s nowhere near the quality of sownwhere like MarBella but then again it is also nowhere near the price.

My issue with it isn’t so much that it isn’t 5 star. (I wasn’t expecting that for the price I paid) but that there are only parts that would even meet 4 star standard. To avoid disappointment I probably wouldn’t come here expecting high standards
