2 month long trip with toddler and baby

We are hoping to take a 2 month long trip to Spain in the spring with our children who will be 2 years old and 5 months.

DS2 should be fine in a travel cot in our room. DS1 sleeps in a cotbed now so is used to lots of space. I don’t think he’s ready for a proper bed and it would be quite disruptive for him to transition while we are away but I don’t think the travel cot will be big enough. He last slept in it in September and didn’t sleep brilliantly.

Has anyone done an extended holiday with similar aged DC? What did you do? Can you recommend a large, comfortable travel cot?

Look at readybeds. They are like toddler blow up beds with an integrated cover. They sell at Argos for about £30 and you can take a foot pump or even use a hairdryer on the cool setting to inflate!

Or you could do the transition in the next couple of months before you leave. Then he will be used to a bigger bed by the time you go. Have fun!

Thanks, I’ll check those out. The bed transition could be an option but I’d be worried about toddler proofing the apartment!
