Spain Feb Half Term unvaccinated kids

Hello
Is anyone else in the same position - booked a Feb half term break to a Spanish Island before they brought in the vaccination rules for 12-17 year olds. Not enough time to get both kids double vaccinated (one has only just turned 12). TUI will not give refund but will allow free transfer to another destination/date. But also there is another update due at the end of Jan I think from Spain government….. but I’m doubtful theyll drop the vaccination rule. What to do now?

Risk another destination (can only really see Greece as a possibility) or push the holiday to later in the year (which isn’t great for work schedules etc). Regretting booking the bloody holiday in the first place now!

Anyone else in similar situation?

Well, we were in that situation at new year and moved our holiday to Feb half-term. No one knows what will happen in the next month, but you could wait and see if the rules change? If not and Greece will accept unvaccinated teens, I'd probably switch to another destination, particularly as other dates don't work.

Move to later in the year I suggest.

Thank you for your replies.

There aren’t many alternatives at Feb half term for unvaccinated kids unfortunately so yes, think I’ll just have to move it to much later in the year and hopefully travel might be slightly easier!

Tui are expected to make further announcements at the end of Jan, but you can only change/amend the holiday for free 28 days up to departure…. So decisions will need to be made around 20th January. Ahhh.

We are also due to fly to Tenerife on 11th Feb. Taking 2 children plus 2 of their friends. Looks like Spain's next announcement is 27th January if that helps. Fingers crossed its a sensible decision. Where else is available that's going to be reasonably hot but no restrictions? within reasonable budget of course
