DH and I are due to fly abroad with Jet2 in under 2 weeks time. However DH has now been told by his doctor that he is having hypertension to the point where he should not be flying. What is the best way to proceed - can I cancel and get our money back?
I know Jet2 allows you to change the date for a fee which is £150 per person this close to departure but we would prefer to get a refund if that's possible instead of shelling out another £300. We do have insurance however my insurance is with a different company from DH's. Mine is good comprehensive insurance, his is free with a bank account so will be badic. However do I need to claim with mine or his? I am the lead booker with Jet2 but he's the one with the health problem. And will we be able to cancel do you think and get our money back from one of these companies? I would ring round to find out but the insurance companies are closed and Jet2 is impossible to get through to unless you spend 2 hours on hold which I will do tomorrow. Any advice gratefully received please.
