50th birthday in Feb - romantic break for two!

As it says in the title, going to surprise boyfriend with a week in Feb (will be week after half term) somewhere. Just us both. Where can we go? Could possibly extend to 9-10 days if over the two weekends. We are double vaxxed and boosted. Would love a bit of relaxation and activity. We went to Portugal for a surf/yoga holiday in August and that was perfect. Just need to repeat that in Feb where most of Europe is cold still! Thanks!

It was my 50th last Feb, so hoping you improve on my (un)romantic zoom parties from the sofa! How's about the Middle East or the Caribbean?

Dubrovnik, Seville, Malaga? If you don't mind the cold, Iceland is amazing and Feb would give you a chance of seeing the Northern lights.

I have a February birthday abs always appreciate spending it in the sun.

Not v exciting suggestion but I love Tenerife. Not the busy southern resorts though. In past years we’ve rented villas and apartments on the outskirts of Puerto de La Cruz in the north.

Not too long a flight but feels a world away from our winter

Thank you all!

@Fivemoreminutes1 How safe is Egypt right now? And are we allowed to travel there? I know I could look up the restrictions but it gets tiring having to do that for very possible destination! We did a surf/yoga holiday in Portugal in summer and it was fantastic. But of course not looking to repeat it…

@Radiatorvalves he’s not keen on the Middle East (understandably!) but is there much to do in the Caribbean? We are not the sort to just sit on the beach or stay on the resort all day!

@NotPennysBoat Croatia looks amazing but it will be cold right? I would like a bit of warmth I think. All the other cities you named would be on a summer list or sure…

@Libertynan is Tenerife touristy? Where should we avoid? It’s so difficult because if there were no restrictions we would love to be in like Cuba or Morocco but it seems a bit crazy when the whole world is unsure of the Omicron to venture that far and risk getting stuck… thanks for all your ideas, keep them coming please…

@TwoBoysTooMany76 Yes you’re allowed into Egypt if you’re double vaccinated. The tourist areas around the resorts are absolutely fine.
