Travel to Hawaii

I'm not really sure if anyone can help. Is this a question for a travel agent?
So currently planning on travelling from the Uk to Hawaii this summer. It would be via Los Angeles as there are no direct flights.

We wanted to break up the journey by staying in an airport hotel overnight before the second leg.

Now it's occurred to me, do we need another PCR test to travel interstate or is it not required any more?
Or is it since Hawaii is an island?

I'm a bit bamboozled. I'm also hoping things will be much more relaxed when we plan to travel, which isn't until July.

Either way, if anyone can point me in the right direction I should be very grateful.

In pre covid times entering the Hawaiian Islands was a lot easier to do than it is now!. It is now both a long and complicated process.

The Hawaiian Island have their own Safe Travels Program; details here:-

hawaiicovid19.com/travel/. At the very least each passenger will need to set up their own Safe Travels Hawaii account.
