help! has anyone used last minute.com or are there other ways of booking online?

had wanted to book a holiday on lastminute.com which i had seen last mth for marseille in july but suddenly there aren't any hotels available anymore! eek
does anyone know if there will suddenly be available hotels if i book closer to july eg in may.
i remember booking last minute for a barcelona holiday in july 2003 so i dont understand the mad rush this year. or has everyone started booking WAAYYY in advance these days.

Also, does anyone have other websites they can recommend?

they won't be booked up this quick, the hotel database has probably gone down. I'd try again later, or another site. There are plenty about if you google, but I wouldn't know one to recommend. Lastminute are a decent company - dp works for them!

the company who last minute dot com use for that offer eg: sunstart/first choice etc, may have took off that offer and will prob put it on again in new year or this week maybe when its very quiet for them(its just ahppend for us we booked a hol £500 cheaper than anywere else cos they had deal on for christmas/quiet times)..good luck!

hmmm.ok...thanks for the advice. maybe will try next year and keep my fingers crossed. I suddenly panicked and thot I was the only silly one not to have booked so far in advance.
I love last minute.com, have used it so many times in the past, but stopped after 2003 (as am not based in the uk anymore).i wouldnt know what other websites to use, i only trust last minute.com. and havent tried any others before.
