Family resorts in Crete

After not being abroad for a number of years due to having 4 children 3 of who were very close in age, cancer treatment and the COVID fiasco I’m dreaming of our next holiday. I find holiday shopping overwhelming as we’re a large family so it’s pricey to go anywhere so I feel pressure to get it right.

I’ve narrowed it down to Crete so I was hoping I may find some recommendations here.

Our children are going to be 15, 11 and twins of 10. They love swimming so a good pool would be great and water slides even better but not a necessity. We’d definitely like a hotel as the younger children enjoy the entertainment and would prefer to self-cater (eat out) rather then AI but we are open to AI if it’s a very good one .

In terms of location, it would be nice to have family friendly bars/restaurants a walk away. We would probably hire a car but would like a nice child friendly sandy beach to walk to.

Has anyone found stayed anywhere like this in Crete? 💐

I’d suggest Grecotel Marine Palace because the Casa Marina Family Apartments sleep 6, it has a teens club and it’s within walking distance of tavernas.

We stayed at sensatori Crete and loved it, might be worth a look.
