About to book some flights to Toronto and just wondered which airline is best between air Canada and British airways. Not done long haul for 20 odd years so clueless.

We used to use air transat. Air Canada is great too. Never flown with ba always done the above. Sunwing is the other but not sure if they just internal flights

Both are fine!

Transat is a lot cheaper than the flag carriers - and perfectly fine.

I'm flying Air Canada next month to Toronto from Heathrow. They are fine, I have flown with them before. Flight times have already changed as there is now only one flight a day instead of two
I originally book with Air Transat for the same dates from Manchester, but they cancelled the flight due to low numbers.

Last time I flew to Toronto was three years ago with BA. It was a nightmare journey, so very reluctant to use them again [ also the only airline to ever "lose" my baggage ]

We always go Air Transat and it's very good indeed, better than my previous experiences with Air Canada

Which class are you flying? If you’re flying business then they’re not equal. I would recommend Air Canada if you’re flying business however if it’s economy then go for the flight with the best price/flight departure. Have fun!

We usually go Air Transit booked through Canadian Affair too. We find them the cheapest usually. Then Air Canada and last BA.

I think BA and Air Canada are about the same in terms of what they offer/planes etc.
However, I will never fly Air Canada again after a flight to Toronto in September last year. The crew were the most miserable, aggressive people I have ever come across on any airline. In contrast, I flew BA in July and the crew were lovely.
Air Canada were a lot cheaper than BA in September - but that may have been because the country was just "opening".

Not heard of air transat.

We will be economy!
Will have a look and thanks.
