European summer city break for me and 18yo dd

Any suggestions where? Would prefer the warmer climates and preferably not Spain...

Budapest or Lisbon.

How about Porto, Dubrovnik or Rome?

We've just booked Verona - hot, reasonable flights for August time and a short drive from Lake Garda to cool off!

We all loved Valletta, but depends what you want to do when you get there. Loads to see and do if you're interested in the history and it's a very compact city centre.

Is live somewhere similar to Barcelona tbh. We were meant to go to Budapest as a winter break but then COVID hit. For some reason I think of these as a winter destination?

I have visions of Rome being too crowded in August?

Rome would be roasting in august. What about Salzburg or Bruges or Vienna?

Or Lubljana or Bucharest or Copenhagen?

Berlin has lots of fab outdoor swimming pools we went in May but it was weirdly hot so we swam in the morning then did stuff in afternoons Berlin very cool for teens. This was one of our best trips kids still talk about it

Siena! Amazingly, incredibly beautiful in a stunning setting. It will be very hot but there's lots of opportunity for finding shade.

We've been to Budapest in August & November & had 2 very different but equally great experiences. Wonderful city!
