We’re going to fly to Malaga and are looking to stay for a week in the area which we’ve never been to before. We have older teens who would like to come with us but may spend a bit of time independently so need it to feel safe. We hate driving on holiday so would like to stay in a decent base where we can walk to shops, cafes and restaurants and also get public transport or excursions (if they are running) to other places of interest.
We like to have plenty to do so a larger resort would suit us providing it’s family friendly - not a loud, clubber’s resort. We’d also like it to be quite attractive but with plenty of local entertainment, live music, boat trips etc. we also like scenery and a bit of history, museums etc.
I have seen lots of lovely, all inclusive resort hotels in the area but most seem to be in locations away from the centre and possibly not suitable for us without car. We’d prefer a large hotel with decent pool near a beach but would also consider apartments or small hotel providing not silly expensive.
So, ideally I’d like help please from people who know the area with recommendations for a good base to stay, and bonus points for suggestions for a nice hotel and places to visit. Thank you so much!
