Where to stay on way to Disneyland Paris? Around an hours drive away if possible

We are hoping to go to France in August. We've had Disneyland Paris cancelled twice in the last 2 years so want to spend a couple of days there but have decided 2 days will be enough and we'd like to hire a villa and explore a bit, probably do a visit to Paris and have a couple of days around the pool.

I don't know France at all though so looking for any recommendations of where to look. We will be driving so ideally on the way between Calais and Paris

We stayed in Rouen on our way back from Disneyland Paris. It was the Easter holidays when we were there so stayed in an aparthotel near the Cathedral.

Eurocamps or such like have cabins/mobile homes in Berny Rivieire near Soissons/Compiegne.
