Hi We are thinking of going to the Welsh Mountain Zoo near Colwyn Bay on Christmas eve, just wondered if anyone has been and whether there are any indoor facilities where we could warm up?

Also wellies??

THANKS

Its my home town, Colwyn Bay and we are going back there this afternoon. I would say yes to wellies as the adventure playground can get a bit mucky and there are grassy areas to walk on. It will be bloody freezing so be prepared for that. There is an indoor monkey thing, where you may get a tad warmed up, but there is an OK indoor cafe and of course the souvenir shop. Whereabouts are you staying?

Thank you for your reply, We live in Mid Cheshire so just driving over for the day in an attempt to tire the kids out so that they will sleep and not wake up when Santa is putting the toys out.

Will dress them really warmly and wear wellies then!

Did you see the penguin parade? DS2 very interested in that.
