Best age for Lapland

I'd love to take the kids to Lapland. It sounds like a magical once in a lifetime experience

Next Christmas, my kids will be just 5 and 8. Would that be best, or better to wait one more year when they'll be 6 and 9?

I want the little one to be old enough to remember, but the older one still to believe!

5 and 8 would be good. We’re waiting until our youngest is 5 to go back. It’s very cold and any younger than 5 would struggle with the temp I think.
It is absolutely amazing.

I think 5 and 8 would be good. We planned to go when our daughter was 6, but ended up doing it at 7 due to COVID. It was a great age. I reckon the sweet spot is 5 to 9. Pre-schoolers didn't cope well with the cold and were very whiny.

I would also add that any age is great outside of Christmas.

Wee took ours at 7 and 9. It was so magical and they just adored it.

I go to Finland and to the Lapland resorts often with my job. Last week it was -3°c, it's not always as cold as you expect.

It was about minus 6 when we were there, which was milder than we expected. A week later it was minus 20🥶
