no pre-departure test for under 12s going to France?

Everything I'm reading on the French official websites and on Easjet info says that under 12s don't require a pre-departure test to enter France but in the entry requirements to France of the gov.uk website, they state that all travellers require a negative pre-departure test (no mention of age). I'm assuming that's wrong (gov.uk) but it's a bit worrying if that's the case. There seems to be so much conflicting information everywhere! Ahhh! I'd hate to turn up to the airport and be turned away as we don't have a test result for our 8 year old

You've posted in 'holidays' and at present Brits cannot travel to France for a holiday, regardless of vaccination status or test result

When is your trip, @tidyupandeatyourgreens ? If it's in the near future, you might be in for a bit of a shock.

If it's further down the line the advice changes all the time. It's stressful, but I probably wouldn't order tests or assume anything at all until about a week or so before you go.

Unless, of course, you are French nationals going home.

yes I have a French passport and this is the only bit I'm unsure about

You are looking at the wrong site - look at ambafrance or your own foreign ministry site for rules applying to French nationals travelling from U.K. I think. Gov.uk tends to assume that you’re a Brit
