Travelling with a 10 month old - formula feeding

Hiya!

My daughter is currently 4 months old but we will be visiting Cyprus when she will be 10 months.

She is currently breastfed but due to a cows milk allergy I don't see her being breastfed for much longer (accidentally given foods with milk in recently such as subway and costa) which has made her really poorly.

Can I ask if the Cypriot tap water is safe for babies if boiled or shall we buy some bottled water out there? If so which is best?

Thanks :-)

I took my five month old and purchased Evian and Highland Spring from memory!

MissAmbrosia · 30/11/2021 10:57

I used Evian on holidays as it is low in minerals etc.

Thankyou both so much 😃

Ready made formula

Bulk order ready made formula for collection at airport (Boots or Superdrug) or pack them into your hold luggage. Bottled water is not recommended for babies (see NHS guidance)

@Jabbinell

Ready made formula
What a shit suggestion. Yeah don’t take any clothing and just take what 500ml x 7 = 3.5+kg of unnecessary fluid 😬
Gemmaemilyx · 30/11/2021 13:57

Unfortunately for my daughter she needs prescribed formula so unsure if they do that ready made (but if they do I'll be a very happy mum!!)

Don't know if sterilizing is still necessary at that age, but I used to pack a tupperware container (stuffed filled with other things so effective took up no room) and milton tablets. Or microwave sterilizer bags if a mw was available.

Take a sterilising bucket and make sure you use a bottled water low in mineral content.
