Hi , hopefully someone can advise . We’ve booked Gran Canaria in Dec and I’ve just received an email saying that the whole family has to provide proof of the covid Jab . My husband and I are fully jabbed but my dd is 15 and has had one jab at school . What does fully vaccinated mean for a child ? How do we provide proof that she’s had one jab as the nhs app states that she’d need to be 16 for a covid pass .
Any advice please ? Thankyou

Fully vaccinated is 2 jabs so your dd would not be counted as eligible to go currently.

Short answer, you can’t go. Unless the Spanish government do a U turn, you’ll have to change your holiday.

Teens need to be double jabbed now - rules changed a couple of days ago.

These are the rules for Spain now. You must have both jabs, even children.

I thought 12-15 year olds were now being offered the 2nd jab?

Can't you try and book into a vaccination centre ASAP?

Depends where you are. Can you book a slot online?

I can’t book as my child isn’t high risk herself and we don’t live with a vunerable person 😢

They haven't updated everything yet to enable booking for that age group yet. The announcement was only made today so it will take time to update the system

Have you had to move your holiday? Or were you able to get a refund?

Does anyone want to have a guess about whether this rule will go into next year?

Although our teens can now get a second jab none of them will be eligible for it just yet because second job has to be 12 weeks after their first, and all of them were vaccinated as long as 12 weeks ago! I think the roll out for teens started on about September 22nd. I know because I was looking to book 2nd jab for mine who were vaccinated on September 24th but I can't find a way to book them
