PCR - reliable to be fast?

So we need a PCR when we come back from visiting family at Christmas. We will also have to arrange extra days in kennels for the dogs and extra cover for my horse so looking for a reliable fast provider.
Looked at testing at the airport but the facility closes 20 minutes (maybe they will extend that now) after our flight is due to land so who is a reliable postal provider?

Have used Randox twice, results back in under 24 hours, but it depends how close you are to a drop box.

There's a drop off in the nearest town bit we won't be able to drop off until the next day - have checked every drop off between the airport and home. At least we can plan on that. I'm leaving it as late as possible to book as I suspect Finland will introduce restrictions and we need to see what they are as well.

How far do you live from the airport? Can you return there the next day for testing?

I used Testing For All last month. Very easy, post back from a priority Royal Mail post box.

I wouldnt trust the post and the priority post box. My PCR Day 2 got lost in the post in the summer. I didnt need to isolate but it came back inconclusive - not surprising as it had been knocking around the postal system.

Heathrow do 3 hour PCR tests but you need to be fairly near it. I attended a conference where there was a stand for one of the big suppliers of tests. They told me ALWAYS go into a clinic or go to the airport. Dont rely on the post. Do you remember the piled up tests at the Randox drop boxes a few months ago. I used Randox for Day 2 tests before and they were fine but I wouldnt take any chances on the post!.

Try Express Test. I think they are the only ones offering 3 hour turn arounds at a reasonable price.
