Was wondering that myself. Gonna start another thread about Christmas lights in London.

Thinking of wandering over there today. My brother took his tow girls 7 and 9 there and they had a fantastic time. Not sure if it's a free event, forgot to ask him; does anyone know? Any one else going today? Blue skies and crisp and freezing cold. Heating has gone off in our flat so better out than in! (No heating tilll Wednesday at earliest, Brrrr!!!)

We walked over there today; walked through it and walked straight out the other side again- really unimpressive. I guess kids would like it but I had expected something beautiful and a bit magical (my DH warned me it would be rubbish he says) but it was basically just a fairground, whirly rides, haunted house, etc. My two year old was a bit young for it so we just went for a hot chocolate in the Park Cafe. There was agood looking big wheel like a mini London Eye, but it was loud like a fairgound; just like at any other time of the year except FREEZING! A bit of a tacky Xmas market. Santa on the bandstand. I just thought it might have fake snow and something pretty but it was just a bit tacky.

Thanks for the info Jetson...don't think i will bother, we are not in London so would be making a special trip.
My friend went yesterday and she actually quite liked it!! She said the queues for food were terrible, the ice skating was nice but the queue to take skates back was awful, again, she did like the observation wheel though. All things considered don't think i will go as i too was expecting something really pretty, pretend snowy! and abit magical....think we will go and see a xmas film then go and look at everyone elses lights!!
