Venice and around in spring

We are very lucky and have been given a trip to Venice with quite a bit of spending money!

Hotel is booked already.

Thinking of extending the trip with another trip to another town nearby - any suggestions?

What great experiences/restaurants etc do people recommend in Venice itself?

Peschiera del Garda

Treviso, Padova, Verona, Sirmione to name just a few which are in easy reach. Bolzano is also fairly near and like being in Austria. Milan is also just 2.5 hrs away on the fast train

One of the towns on Garda, probably Desenzano or Peschiera would be easiest by train. And Verona obvs.

Desenzano del Garda. On the train route and also has the ferry to get to other locations on the lake.
