Looking to book a long haul trip at Christmas and OMG the British airways website is absolutely horrendous, every time I've tried to research over the past few months it's the same...
Pages all take 3-5 minutes to load and then it keeps timing out so have to start again!

I've been trying to do this for days! Why the hell is it so awful?

Is it just me?

Nope I booked a holiday with them a few weeks ago and it was horrendous, slow loading pages and once you had viewed one hotel you couldn't view another as even if you clicked on a different hotel it brought up the page for the first one you looked at!

Virgin was also awful so I came to the conclusion airlines mistake just have terrible websites!

Actually Aer Lingus was fine but we wanted the BA package so had to carry on fighting with the website!

How can our national airlines website be so bad I just don't get it!

Might just book through Tui if I don't get anywhere today!

Ever since the US opened borders it has slowed down for a bit I think due to the amount of people booking flights! SHould be better now

BA are awful we've had terrible experiences with them. We booked to go to Egypt with them once and booked excursions and airport pickup with them as we thought it would be hassle free and well organised. We got there and realised they'd just sold it all off to the highest local bidders and it was the worst holiday I've ever been on. We booked a flight to Turkey with them and the pilot sounded like he was drunk or not with it and the air stewardesses were slagging BA and saying how awful it was working for them now etc etc, it all felt very unprofessional. We flew Turkish airlines as well and would choose them over BA any day. I would never fly BA or Ryanair if I could avoid it.

I flew long haul with BA a couple of years ago, it's not only their website that's crap! Worst long haul trip I've ever been on - old plane, knackered tv system, no leg room, awful food. If there's any other options, look into them!

It's not just since USA opened I've been looking for months... always the same!

Crikey, unbelievably never booked a ba holiday before, just thought probably easiest at the moment incase anything goes wrong ...

Generally I’ve found the flights only the website side of things fast enough…not sure about how slowly BA holidays churns away these days.

With regard to the comment about old seats, small TVs etc, the older long haul aircraft ( particularly but not just 747s) bit the dust last year, I know some of the older 777s had a really dire inflight entertainment system with postage stamp sized screens - I think of those have also gone or have had a cabin upgrade in the last eighteen months.
