Hi there,

Does anyone have any recommendations for restaurants in Dubai with amazing fountain views? We have quite basic food tastebuds though, so nothing too posh or fancy (like everything else I found when I googled this question!)

I went a few years ago and there were lots of options including an ihop and Carluccio's overlooking the fountains from what I can remember. I also went to one restaurant just for a drink to watch one evening but I expect they will only allow that if it's quiet.

It was definitely a highlight for me, enjoy!

Thiptara is a really lovely Thai with amazing views if you ask for an outside table. TGI Fridays in the mall also have tables outside

Carluccios and KFC have the best views but you might struggle unless you book well in advance. There’s also a shitty Lebanese restaurant which is always packed with Arabs specifically so they can see the fountains - the food is so bad you’ll often find a group of 10 picking at salads which is highly uncommon in the middle east lol.

I would personally just eat in the food court and come out to the watch the fireworks. You’ll get better food.
