Winter sunshine - Canaries etc apartment with hotel facilities?

I'm desperately looking for a weeks holiday in December with a baby 18 months. We are looking for self-catering, but with the use of hotel facilities -something nice . Any suggestions would be really gratefull.

bump as I'd like this too, but in Jan/Feb! All the holidays I can find either look manky or don't have kidsclubs - nowhere seems to be nice with good facilities, a heated pool, kids club AND the option of an apartment so ds isn't in our room. I didn't think I was asking a lot, but obvioulsy I'm abnormally fussy... Currently considering a cruise!! Ds would be in our room at night, but s*d it...

yup, i am after some winter sun dec/ january for 18 month and three year old - facing same problems as those below. please someone must have the answer!

Depends on budget! We have been twice to the Princess Yaiza in Lanzarote. It is a 5* suite hotel (we had a fridge, microwave, sink in our room) with a kids club with excellent staff and activities. It is right on the beach and a short walk along the promenade to the bars and restaurants of the resort. The hotel restaurants (5 of them) are good but pricey. We upgraded to a suite so had separate bedroom and lounge. So when ds was sleeping we could have room service etc without disturbing him. We also used the babysitting service. There is a spa too for a bit of pampering!
